Playstand Patterns

Wooden playstands and a few cloths can encourage children's imaginative play and afford hours of enjoyment. While they available for purchase from many sources, they can be expensive and heavy to ship.

If you've ever thought about building your own playstands and canopies, Amanda Holmes Tarasow has a lovely site where you can purchase detailed patterns for the carpenter in your family. Developed by her father for his two grandchildren, the plans include full-sized pattern pieces, detailed material and cut lists, and assembly instructions. Novice woodwrokers will be able to follow the thorough, simple instructions using basic tools, while more intricate options are available for those with greater woodworking experience.

Visit the site at www.playstandplans.com.
