Spring 2006 Conference

Join more than 200 other familis for a weekend of inspiration and renewal at the spring Waldorf in the Home Conference, March 4-5, 2006, at Sacramento Waldorf School. Brochures and online registration will be

There will be close to four dozen workshops, with special workshops for parents of young children, parents with children in Waldorf schools (kindergarten through adolescence), and home schooling families. Our keynote speakers bring together variousvdisciplines to enrich your parenting:

William Bento is co-director, with Bonnie River, of Gradalis, a resource center for remedial, therapeutic and transdisciplinary education (www.gradalis.com). He has been an adult educator for over 30 years and is a noted pioneer in developing Psychosophy, a new Anthroposophical approach to psychology. He has traveled extensively as a speaker, teacher and consultant and is currently completing his Ph.D. at the Institute of Transpersonal Psychology.

Elizabeth Seward is a Waldorf instructor, mentor and consultant through her organization, By the Work of Our Hands. She recently earned a Ph.D. in Education, and before that she taught handwork and German at Highland Hall Waldorf School for 17 years. She also directed the Waldorf teacher preparation program for the Waldorf Institute of Southern California (WISC) for 3 years. Elizabeth has been a frequent presenter at our conferences.

Thomas Cowan, MD, has served as vice president of the Physicians Association for Anthroposophical Medicine and is the principal author of the book, The Fourfold Path to Healing. He has lectured throughout the United States and Canada, including one of our conferences in Michigan. He has three grown children and currently practices medicine in San Francisco, where he resides with his wife, Lynda Smith Cowan.
