Fall Conferences Programs

I wanted to let you know that brochures and secure online registration are now available for both fall conferences:

Waldorf in the Home, Fair Oaks, California (near Sacramento)September 23-24, 2006 with keynote speakers David Darcy, Nancy Poer and Cynthia Wand
and
Whole Parent, Whole Family, Boulder, ColoradoOctober 21-22, 2006 with keynote speakers Rachael Kessler, Eugene Schwartz, Dee Joy Coulter and Donna Simmons.

Simply click on “Learn More” between the two conference brochures on the right. The links to the brochures as PDF files and to secure online registration are at the bottom of the information about each conference.

New this year: You can spend Friday afternoon with Penni Sparks at a Pre-conference Workshop from 1-5 pm. In California she will be sharing her insights and humor on “Surviving and Thriving with your Adolescent and Preteen” (Grades 5-12). In Boulder, the topic will be “Growing and Guiding Your Young Child” (Ages 4-11). Don’t miss this opportunity to spend four hours with Penni to reconnect with your own inner “compass” of wisdom and clarity.

We hope you’ll join us either weekend for a large dose of inspiration and renewal for your parenting. From the dozens of workshops, there will be tracks for parents of young children, parents of adolescents, and everyone in between. There will also be special workshops on home schooling, enriching family life, and activities to do with your children.

California Keynotes:
Cynthia Wand
will be opening the conference with a talk on “Parenting by H.E.A.R.T.: Resurrecting the Family.” Cynthia’s popular workshops from past conferences are available for purchase: an audio recording available of “Setting Clear Boundaries” (CD, $12.50); and a new video of her workshop on “Learning the Language of Virtues” (DVD, $20). Click on the online store at www.waldorfinthehome.com.
David Darcy, from Austin Texas, will be speaking on “Creating Vibrant Communities of Learning for our Children.” David will also be offering a workshop for dads, and another to accompany his book and CD on “Playing and Teaching the Pentatonic Recorder.”
Nancy Poer will be sharing her wisdom and experience in the final keynote on “Courageous Parenting.” She will also be offering a workshop on “Honoring the Spiritual Feminine” and one for parents of children from birth to three.

Boulder Keynotes:
Rachael Kessler
is an internationally-known educational reformer who will be sharing the topic of her best-selling book, “The Soul of Education.”
Eugene Schwartz is a master Waldorf teacher, consultant and author of Millennial Child. He will be sharing his insights on “Parenting and Teaching the Millennial Child.”
Dee Joy Coulter, EdD, will be addressing “Neurology and Nurture: Supporting Our Children in Challenging Times.”
Donna Simmons is a consultant on Waldorf home schooling and founder of Christopherus Homeschool Resources. Her talk will be on “The Sacred Art of Nurturing Ourselves, Our Children and Our Families.”

We hope to see you in Boulder or Fair Oaks! Or, if you can't attend, watch the "On Line Store" for these and other conference keynotes and workshops.
Warmly,
Rahima

Stephanie:

Not sure where to request this, but I hope you tape the Penny Sparks pre-adolescent talk today. I can't make it, but need it!

Ta, Stephanie

Dear Stephanie,
Penni has just finished a workbook and CD on this topic. You can order from www.takeheartinc.com. Highly recommended! Rahima
